Mini Free Community Library

I was commissioned by a friend in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia to make a mini free library which they will install at their home near the sidewalk so that people can access it. It will be a memorial to a friend of hers who died and was an avid reader. I designed the mini library to be mounted with a bench to sit on while enjoying looking through the books in the library. The bench is made from recycled Hemlock timbers from an 1850's church that I dismantled a number of years ago. Many people grieved when the church came down and so I am grateful to find a beautiful new purpose for the timbers as a memorial to someone else's transition.
